Give feedback

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".
(thinking…)

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can support and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can support it.

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

  1. Export issues to CSV

It would be nice to be able to export issues to CSV/Excel

  2. Improve diff view

Deveo diff view can currently show Diffs as follows:
    * From single changeset, by clicking the commit message.
    * Over >1 changesets, by manually supplying the revisions to compare. This shows changes of the whole repository over those changesets.

However there doesn't seem to be easy way to see changes over >1 changesets of an individual file, or of a subtree in the repository. This would be really useful to have.

By far the best repository browser that I've found is, maybe a bit surprisingly, the one included in Redmine. Please have a look at http://www.redmine.org/projects/redmine/repository for inspiration. Thanks!

  3. Ability to rerport more than one build to deveo (with names)

This would give the ability to run multiple builds in parallel reducing feedback time.

Also you could name your builds Tests and linting. This way you could quickly see what was wrong with the code.

  4. Interal tasks for code reviews

I would like to be able to create internal task from comment, e.g. there could be checkpoint when creating line comment in review that says "Create review task"

This would be nice feature to have, because the comments can get lost if there are things that really need to be changed.

  6. Having % on issues

Ability to set % of progress on issues (maybe in 10% steps ?) once something similar I saw in https://www.wrike.com/tour/ ... personally, I do not like wrike, but this was good feature.

  7. Graphic overview of activity

I know its not quite needed, but it gives nice overview of team member's work... so... are there any graphs on commits scheduled ? like github's? there is great example code for this : http://bl.ocks.org/mbostock/1648635

  10. Repository-specific notifications

In large projects there can be numerous repositories, many of which are not necessarily relevant to everyone in the project. However, the notification settings are project-specific so it would be useful to be able to set only certain repositories in a project to generate instant notifications.

  11. Add Estimated and Actual Time fields for Task

Could it be possible to add for Task new fields: "Estimated Time" and "Actual Time" which would take in hours and minutes and show them also in taskboard?

  12. Automatically merge when a code review is created

In deveo there is currently no way to determine if a code review will end up with a merge conflict or not. There is also no way to poll for branches that have code reviews.

My feature suggestion would be that on the Deveo side you would automatically merge the target and destination branches and store the results somewhere like refs/pull/000/head and refs/pull/000/merge where the head would be the target branch and the merge would be a up to date merged version.

This would fix the two biggest issues atleast I myself have with deveo. Not being able to tell…

  13. Markdown editor for README.md

It would be nice if it would be possible to edit README.md file in deveo, like in GitHub and Bitbucket. That possibility could be configurable per project, since atleast bigger companies most likely won't need such feature. GitHub and Bitbucket let user edit any txt file, but I do not see that so necessary.

  14. New Code Review to integrate with JIRA

When creating a new code review, this should optionally link to JIRA and move a ticket to a "in review" stage, if such is in use.

  15. Enable the Mercurial LargeFiles extension

The LargeFiles extension works pretty seamlessly with hg, requires no dedicated extra services like the GitHub-developed git alternative, and works exactly as users expect, over the same transport layer.

  16. Create new wiki links on-the-fly

When you are making a wiki post, you can put in links while you type. Those links needn't go to pages that have been created yet. When you click on one of these links, it creTes the new page and puts you in edit mode on it. this makes it much easier and quicker to create new content.

  17. New project role: Developer that cannot accept pull requests

Need is to have users who can
    - create branches
    - push to remote
    - create a pull request

But not approve or modify other pull requests.

  18. Docker Registry as a repository

Implement a Docker Registry to be available as a repository. This would enable teams to quickly setup a development process based around docker images.

  19. Logo for project

It would be nice, if one could change the default logo/avatar of a project to some own picture (the size and shape now is ok). At least bitbucket has such feature, and it looks quite nice in dashboard, when projects have own logos.

  20. Ability to see the text of code review comments even if the lines have been touched since

Currently (as of release 3.7.0) the "Discussion" tab in a Code Review does not seem to show the content of a comment if the line in question has been modified by a subsequent commit. There does not seem to be an option to actually view the text of the comment?
